Rail Watch is the community messaging system supported by British Transport Police (Scotland), Network Rail and Neighbourhood Watch Scotland. This pilot scheme aims to give local people up to date information on what is happening in their area.
By registering free with Rail Watch, messages on local crime, antisocial behaviour, fire-related incidents, news, appeals and community safety advice will be sent directly to you by email, text or recorded phone message.
Rail Watch not only allows you to receive messages about your local area, but also allows you to feedback information that will help the partner agencies to provide better services in your neighbourhood.
Sign up now!
We hope that you know a bit more about the Rail Watch project now and that you're keen to sign up and start receiving messages.
It couldn't be easier to get involved. Simply click on the 'Join' button above, and fill in the online registration form. We will send you information based on where you live and what you are interested in, so the more you tell us about yourself and your interests, the more relevant the messages will be.
If you are interested in joining or starting a Neighbourhood Watch group, you can do this during the sign-up process too. When you reach the question about Neighbourhood Watch, simply click 'Join' and you will be given information about Neighbourhood Watches near you that you can apply to join. You can also start a Neighbourhood Watch of your own and encourage your neighbours to join.
If you would like more information about Neighbourhood Watch, please visit the Neighbourhood Watch Scotland website. Rail Watch has strong links with Neighbourhood Watch and you do not need to 'Join' both sites - just choose 'Neighbourhood & Home Watch' as one of your Information Providers when you sign up for Rail Watch.
